Zayed Mobile Humanitarian Pharmacy launched to provide free medicines to needy patients
Emirates Doctors, a community-driven medical voluntary initiative, has launched the "Zayed Mobile Humanitarian Pharmacy" to provide free medicines to the underprivileged across the world. The pilot operation was launched in Zanzibar. The medical initiative, launched under the Zayed campaign for the treatment of the underprivileged as part of activities marking the "Year of Zayed 2018," is a joint partnership between Dar Al Ber Society, Sharjah Charity House and the Saudi-German Hospital, under the supervision of the UAE Medicine Bank.
Dr. Adel Al Shamri, Head of the UAE Doctors, said the pharmacy project will deliver medicines to poor patients through mobile pharmacies in support of the Emirates mobile hospitals and clinics across the world.
''The project will provide practical, mobile solutions to ease sufferings of needy patients,'' he stated.
