Mawaqif is a comprehensive parking management program that aims to resolve parking issues in the capital. Mawaqif is an innovative and integrated parking solution for the city contributing to a better quality of life for the capitals residents and visitors.
Parking Solutions:
Paid Parking - The department of transport (DoT) introduces Mawaqif, a comprehensive parking management program that aims to resolve parking issues in the capital. For the initial phase, paid parking locations will be the area between Khalifa street and Hamdan street as well as the area between Sheikh Zayed the 1st street and Liwa street.
Rates
Standard Parking - Dhs 2 per hour - max stay 24 hrs
Premium Parking - Dhs 3 per hour - max stay 4 hrs
Timings:
8 am - 9pm (Sat - Thu)
Fri and public holidays - FREE parking
Residential permits:
Residents living in paid parking areas can apply for a resident parking permit. Each household is entitled to 2 permits. Proof of residency in the areas is required in order to apply for a permit. This proof can be a lease agreement, electricity or landline bill bearing the name of the resident.
