The Emirates Heritage Club
The Emirates Heritage Club results from the efforts of H. H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan the UAE President, to preserve the heritage and traditions of the UAE society. The Emirates Heritage Club was set up by H. H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club, on May 9, 1993 for the protection and dissemination of the heritage and traditions of the UAE. On June 16, 1997 H. H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Vice High Commander of the Armed Forces, issued the Presidential Decree No 14 of 1997 for the official inception of the Emirates Heritage Club and its location in Abu Dhabi.The objectives of the Emirates Heritage Club include - Protection of the UAE heritage and its dissemination among future UAE generations. - Organisation and development of all activities related to the UAE heritage. - Undertaking studies and research related to the UAE heritage and the popular arts. - Dissemination of Arabian Culture. - Organisation of conferences and exhibitions related to the UAE heritage. - Organisation of various National, Regional, and International aquatic competitions. - The Emirates Heritage Club collaborates with all other UAE institutions sharing the same interests.
