Qaryat al Torath Heritage Village
Nestled in the Ain Al Fayda district of Al Ain, Abu Dhabi’s lush garden city and heritage heartland about an hour and a half away from the capital, the family-friendly Qaryat Al Torath Heritage Village features 32 souk (market) stalls offering a variety of traditional Emirati handicrafts and foods.
Visitors can watch Bedouin (nomadic Arab people) women at work creating beautiful craft pieces while also exploring traditional clothing, spices, perfumes, date palm products and accessories. This is a great place to pick up a memento from your trip or gifts for family and friends back home.
Dining options include authentic Emirati fare from several kitchens selling traditional tea, Arabic dishes and moreish sweets. If you’re on a diet, we suggest you ditch it while you’re here.
