Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), announced today that it has launched self-service check-in kiosks at Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi as part of the company’s commitment to provide convenient services for its customers. This new service is the first of its kind to become available to travellers in the Middle East and will be rolled out soon in other prominent hotels and commercial venues in the Emirate.
The new self-service check-in kiosks will allow passengers to check-out from the Park Rotana and directly check-in to their flight before leaving the hotel lobby. All the check-in services provided at airport will be available for passengers in the kiosks, including printing boarding passes and bag tagging. After completing all the check-in process, passengers will carry the tagged bags along with them to be dropped at the airport.
Commenting on the introduction of this new service, Harib Al Hameli, Vice President Operations-Abu Dhabi international Airport, at ADAC said: “ADAC continuously seeks opportunities to develop its services and provide state of the art facilities to all passengers. With the introduction of these new kiosks at Park Rotana we hope to provide an even easier travelling experience for our customers from Abu Dhabi International Airport that is unique every step of the way.”
Samir Abi Frem, Corporate Vice President Information Technology for Rotana said: “We are very enthusiastic about this project and to be working with ADAC to launch this innovative service from our hotels using technology to push our business boundaries. The introduction of self-service check-in kiosks in our properties will definitely take the overall guest experience as well as our competitive edge to a new level”.
This new check-in service is the third remote check-in facility launched by ADAC for Abu Dhabi International Airport. In March this year the airport inaugurated the Expo Check-in at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) to follow its first facility, City Check-in at the Tourist Club area in Abu Dhabi City, which has been operating since 2001.
