In the heart of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on Friday night, the star trio from ‘Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular’ took audiences back to 1960s Las Vegas, when cool cats and glamorous gals reigned supreme. Paying homage to the one and only Rat Pack, the trio crooned their way through performances of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin’s best loved hits.
Presented by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and performing in the region for the first time, the ‘Rat Pack – Vegas Spectacular’ wowed the crowd with their representation of the legendary singers. Accompanied by a swinging big band, the trio channeled the true spirit of the original Rat Pack, singing, dancing and cracking jokes during the performance in ADNEC’s ICC Abu Dhabi.
They warmed concert goers’ hearts with renditions of classic tunes such as ‘Fly me to the Moon’, ‘Mr. Bojangles’ and ‘That’s Amore’. By the end of the show the trio had the audience on their feet, swaying to the smooth sounds of swing. The fun continued at Aloft Abu Dhabi’s Relax@12 official after-party, which kept everyone dancing into the early hours.
Candi Bain, who had travelled from Dubai for the show, commented:
“I thought the show was great fun. The singing was fabulous, the banter was fabulous and the set was great. I really enjoyed it.”
