Showcasing Arabian culture at its finest, Emirates Palace will unveil the hidden jazz talent of Abu Dhabi, with a glamorous series of ‘toe-tapping’ jazz performances on the evening of June 15th 2012.
Presenting an evening with local legends “Cool’s the Rule”,talented jazz musician Titus Earle and his bandmates will raise the roof of Emirates Palace’s world-class auditorium. Guests will be invited to sit back and enjoy the masterful tinkle of Titus on piano, the low tones of Dennis Mercado on bass and the rhythmic beat of Douglas Caskie on percussion.
During the show, the “Cool’s the Rule” resident trio will be joined by guests and fellow musicians, including Bill Martin and Abdul Rahman, for an exclusive repertoire of jazz performances - from duo to full quintet,with saxophone, guitar and vocal highlights.
“Cool’s the Rule” was formed in 1999 as a classic jazz quartet line-up consisting of piano, bass, drums and sax, and has since expanded to form a “cooperative” of musicians. The grouphas performed to enthusiastic acclaim at many high profile events across the UAE, including the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Jazz Festivals and the Dubai World Cup.
