The countdown is on for Madonna live in Abu Dhabi as details emerged of the extensive refurbishment work that has gone into the du Arena, Yas Island, ahead of the June 3rd and 4th concerts.
Many months of planning, development and infrastructure work has gone into enhancing every aspect of the venue experience, leaving organizers Flash Entertainment in no doubt that not only will Madonna deliver an incredible show, but the du Arena will provide a world-class experience for the 50,000 fans expected to attend the two day event
Careful thought has gone into improving every aspect of the customer experience; grass has been relayed, gravel removed, tarmac walkways laid down throughout the arena, a central public plaza area featuring merchandize, retail and entertainment has been installed, multiple new entrances will be a regular feature - including an 80metre main entrance on Yas Leisure Drive - and more space in all ticket category locations to give fans an optimum concert experience.
Mira Sadek of Flash Entertainment said, "This is one of the most significant events in the history of regional live entertainment. With over 50,000 people coming to Yas Island to enjoy the concerts and cross-Island parties, we really felt now was the time to enhance the venue and focus on every little detail, from parking and entrances, to walkways and sight lines. Since March work has been constant and we’re sure people are going to appreciate the changes. What a show we have in store. Roll out June 3rd and 4th"
Conscious of the warmer conditions in early June, water will be sold at a two-for-the-price-of one deal, and will be available throughout with extra stations in all areas of the
du Arena. There will be a cooling dome within the public plaza area courtesy of Yas Marina Circuit and misting machines will run throughout the two nights of concerts. Fans are advised to wear light clothing and drink responsibly.
Special attention has also gone into the VIP ticket holder’s experience, with dedicated walkways, an air conditioned lounge, high quality food and beverage and a dedicated DJ playing in the lounge before and after the Madonna performance.
It was also revealed that the Queen of Pop will arrive in the Capital with an all new stage design created specifically for her "MDNA Tour" the size and scale of which has never been seen before here in the UAE.
Running out of the 23 x 54 meter stage- the biggest ever built in the Middle East - will be an elaborate catwalk, pushing the superstars performance out into the crowd and closer to her thousands of fans. A complex pyrotechnic and lighting system has also been developed, and to make sure the 25,000 fans each night don’t miss a thing, giant LED screens will be mounted onto the back of the cantilever-designed stage.
There is no doubt that everything is being done to prepare for an historic performance at the du Arena on June 3rd and 4th
