Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) today launched its new smartphone applications. These expand the company’s digital communication channels allowing it to reach a wide range of audiences and stakeholders interested in keeping up with the latest developments in the MICE sector.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of ADNEC, said last Monday during the launch ceremony: “With the launch of these easy-to-use applications, ADNEC will strengthen its communications and bond with visitors to the events and exhibitions held here. Last year alone, ADNEC hosted 231 events, exhibitions and conferences.”
ADNEC’s seeks to raise the number of exhibitions, conferences and major events in key sectors along with other entertainment activities, Al Dhaheri expects the number of events and visitors to increase, surpassing the one-million-visitor milestone registered last year.
“ADNEC’s aim is to increase the number of major international conferences we host, especially in sectors of growth for Abu Dhabi. We also want to continue to improve cooperation with global event organisers. Developing our relationship with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and other local governmental departments will help us attract new exhibitions and conferences, and expand our portfolio of events while improving the quality of our offering. We want to enhance ADNEC’s position in the minds of stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally”, Al Dhaheri added.
The new smartphone applications will provide the latest information and event-related news to the public using a clear and easy-to-use calendar, with the option of receiving news feed updates from ADNEC. There are applications available for 3G–enabled smart phones such as iPhones, Blackberry and Android phones, making it available to the widest possible audience.
The applications give user access to ADNEC’s event calendar, news, and the latest updates directly on their mobile phones. Users can also browse the company’s photo gallery and video channel, or contact ADNEC directly through the application.
ADNEC’s new mobile services follow the launch of the company’s website earlier this month which reflects ADNEC’s new identity and strategy. The revamped website will encourage a better integration and communication with stakeholders and shares easy-to-access information.
These new communications platforms signals ADNEC’s aims to become a trusted partner for companies in the MICE sector; organisers, exhibitors, and visitors to events.
