The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) & its Group of Companies concluded their successful participation in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2012) which was held in Houston, Texas, USA, April 30 to May 3, 2012.
A high-level delegation of ADNOC and its Group of Companies attended the four-day event. ADNOC delegates took part in OTC conference, which mainly tackled issues related to offshore operations. At the OTC Exhibition, ADNOC Group exhibited in a large stand that reflected the size of the Group and depicted the overall development witnessed by the UAE.
ADNOC’s pavilion got overwhelming responses from enterprises and visitors, making it a grand success in this premier conference and trade show for the offshore oil and gas industry. Visitors of the pavilion were introduced to the latest developments in the oil and gas sector in the UAE as well as the strategic programs and projects carried out by ADNOC & its Group of Companies in the various fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals.
“OTC is the perfect platform for our delegates to interact with industry experts, partners senior executives, and leaders in the oil and gas industry. The event was an excellent opportunity for us to open up new channels and network with executives and experts from around the world. Our participation this year was very successful and would certainly benefit the UAE oil, gas and petrochemical sectors," said Mr. Saif Al Ghafli, Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company (Al Hosn Gas) who headed ADNOC’s delegation to the OTC 2012.
“Our presence in such a world class event is part of ADNOC’s strategy to maintain their position as a world class company that pursues Reliability Performance and Sustainable Operational Excellence,” he said, adding that during the four days of the event thousands of visitors flocked ADNOC stand and were all very much impressed by the stand design which was one of a kind in the whole OTC exhibition.
In the evening of the closing day, ADNOC delegation attended a reception hosted by ExxonMobil for the delegates during which the new vice president of Middle East for ExxonMobil Production Company Ms. Kathy Pepper was introduced to the attendees. Ms. Pepper was presented with a souvenir gift by Mr. Al Ghafli, on behalf of ADNOC & its Group of Companies.
This was followed by another dinner reception hosted by ADNOC for all Group delegates, scholars and secondees attached to Flour Daniel and ExxonMobil.
At the end of the function Mr Al Ghafli thanked the organising team for the successful participation of ADNOC & its Group of Companies in such an important event. He welcomed the scholars who are pursuing their PhD studies and thanked them for their participation with ADNOC team in this event, hoping that OTC had given them the opportunity to interact in such specialised event in the oil and gas industry. He encouraged them to work hard to finish their studies successfully to head back home to serve our beloved country.
This edition of the OTC offered the participants the opportunity to see the next generation of technology and innovation in the Oil & Gas industry and to hear and learn from the experiences of other companies within the industry.
