The Captain of the 2006 World Cup Winning Team, Fabio Cannavaro, will be signing free t-shirts and footballs at the grand opening of United Arab Bank’s Airport Road Branch in Abu Dhabi on Monday 30th of April..

Cannavaro is the "Brand Ambassador" for United Arab Bank, which is the fastest growing bank in the Emirates. To commemorate the bank’s Grand Opening of its Airport Road Branch, near Carrefour in Abu Dhabi, the World Cup Captain will be signing free t-shirts and footballs from 10.30am.

"I am delighted to be a part of UAB’s growth story.I am a customer of the bank myself and while it is a small bank, I appreciate its fighting spirit," said Fabio Cannavaro.

The football legend’s association with United Arab Bank is growing stronger in the lead up to 2022 with the Football World Cup to be held in the GCC.

"United Arab Bank is giving football fans the chance to meet a World Cup champion as well as have him sign a piece of memorabilia. For serious football fans this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get close to a living legend," said Tom Smith, Head of Retail Banking at United Arab Bank.

UAB is also giving people who attend its Airport Road branch opening a chance to win a Mercedes Benz C200. People need to be in attendance on the day of the event to be eligible to enter.

Fabio Cannavaro has attended all of UAB’s branch openings since 2010. His presence at these events has drawn large crowds, which have stretched into the hundreds and even blocked off roads.

United Arab Bank is encouraging all football fans to come to its branch opening, for the chance to meet one of the biggest football champions in history.
