The second round of Yas Marina Circuit’s Pro Drag Racing Series took place this weekend (19 and 20 April) in Abu Dhabi. Over 62 professional drivers and riders from across the UAE and GCC raced head-to-head in the second of three rounds of racing for their chance to win a share of the 500,000 AED series prize pool.
The Pro Drag Racing Series features six classes of professional racing covering Pro Mod, 4.8 Index, Pro Bike, Super Street Bike, Pro 6 and Super Street 8. For leading drivers across the UAE and GCC, this second race of the season was an opportunity to solidify the tone and speed of the series in the lead up to the third and final race, taking place 3-4 May, 2012.
This weekend’s races saw UAE National Sultan Al Zaabi again take the lead in the Pro Mod category and Mohammed Salama of Bahrain also take first place position for the second time in the series in the 4.8 Index category.
