The National Health Insurance Company- Daman today announced the official opening of its first branch in Madinat Zayed. The branch opening is a response to the economic growth seen in Abu Dhabi’s western region and is able to serve 250 visitors daily.
The opening took place last night during an event attended by Daman’s Chairman, Mr. Khaled Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Dr. Michael Bitzer, Daman Chief Executive Officer, and a number of senior management representatives and invitees from different stakeholders.
Commenting on the new branch, Mr. Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi said: “The western region of Abu Dhabi has recently witnessed increased economic development as part of Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030. The new Madinat Zayed branch is perfectly positioned to cater to the demand created by this economic activity.”
“The branch also plays a strategic role within our Emiratization plan. It will focus on hiring and developing Emiratis from the area to assume different positions within the branch, and as a result, supports the creation of job opportunities for nationals within the growing field of health insurance” concluded Al Qubaisi.
Daman’s new branch will act as a central hub for the company’s six existing service points located across the Western Region. It will serve Members with Enhanced and Basic policies and will feature on the spot card printing. Individuals can now receive their cards within 30 minutes of payment.
Dr. Michael Bitzer commented: “We are pleased to launch our Madinat Zayed branch to strengthen our operations in Abu Dhabi’s Western Region. We feel optimistic towards the increased demand for health insurance products in the Region; it will definitely support the development of the local health insurance sector which Daman has been driving for the past six years”
The opening of the Western Region branch follows the opening of two new branches in Musaffah. The branch brings the total number of Daman outlets operating across the UAE to 32, seven of which are full-featured branches.
Dr. Sven Rohte, Daman Chief Commercial Officer said: “The expansion to Madinat Zayed is one of many methods Daman applies to enhance members’ accessibility to its services. The branch has been carefully laid-out to suit both our Basic and Enhanced plans members. It carries Daman’s new branded interior design scheme that offers efficiency for Basic plan members and privacy for Enhanced plan members.”
The branch is open to customers from Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm.
