Manchester City FC are asking fans to record a message for the players ahead of the massive league game with Manchester United at the end of April.
And the winning entry will be rewarded with a fantastic trip for two to watch the game – being billed as the most important Manchester derby ever – live at the Etihad Stadium.
The competition opens tonight (Sunday, April 8) at the Sky Blue Fan Zone in Abu Dhabi where the game against Arsenal, which kicks off at 7pm, is being screened live.
From 6pm until 9pm everyone attending will have the chance to record a message for the City team to wish them luck in the quest for league glory.
Until April 14, everyone else can do the same by going to the CityStore in Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. Manchester City FC will then pick a winner with fans being urged to get creative as possible with spoken messages, songs and poems all being accepted.
“For the Chelsea game some of the players recorded a message for fans in the UAE – now it is their turn,” said City captain Vincent Kompany.
“We look forward to getting the entries and picking a winner. Whoever it is will be there to cheer us on when we take on United at the end of April.”
