The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation has signed an agreement with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for extending the partnership agreement between the two sides to support Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan School, Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Foundation and Filippo Grandi, Commissioner-General of UNRWA.
The Commissioner-General of UNRWA expressed his thanks and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his directives to help Palestinians and UAE’s generous support towards the Palestinian cause.
The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan School is located in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, and it was serving as a shelter for 1,800 Gazans during the recent war in Gaza, with 32 classrooms serving 1288 students.
