The 5th edition of the International Security and National Resilience (ISNR) Exhibition and Conference rolls out some of the world’s most advanced homeland security products and services as it opens today (Monday, March 19, 2012) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Running until March 21, 2012, the Middle East’s definitive homeland security (HLS) event welcomes more than 150 exhibitors from over 24 countries. The expo will extensively cover Border and Transport Security; Intelligence and Threat Assessment; Critical Infrastructure Protection; Emergency Preparedness & Response; Counter Terrorism; and Resilience (Crisis Management).
Regional and international firms eager to capitalize on the Middle East’s projected defense and security spending of over USD 100 billion by 2014 have converged for ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012. Some of the biggest names include Thales Group, Boeing Global Security Systems, International Golden Group, and Rapiscan Systems.
Aside from serving as a premier marketplace for the global HLS industry, ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 will also gather government officials, security companies and experts and academicians to discuss the current state and future of homeland security in the Middle East. The ISNR 2012 Conference will discuss institutional and international HLS cooperation, security risks and criminal issues. The conference also features a special session to be conducted by the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) focusing on the countermeasure to prevent cyber wars.
The event is fully supported by the UAE Ministry of Interior and is thus considered a valuable platform for GCC and Arab governments to share their homeland security experiences and consolidate their capabilities in the field. Other local government agencies in attendance are the National Crisis Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), the TRA, UAE Civil Defence, Tawazun, and Abu Dhabi’s Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA).
“This year’s ISNR Abu Dhabi is shaping up to be the highlight of the security industry in the region, with confirmed participation from the top names in homeland security and a prominent government presence and support. The various political and social movements that have swept the world over the past few years in addition to a series of natural and man-made disasters make ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 a crucial venue for exploring the best HLS solutions and strategies available and determining which are suitable for the Middle East region. The expo is also a valuable networking platform for the region’s governments to foster more cooperation and planning into security,” said Mohamad Bader-Eddin, Show Director, Reed Exhibitions Middle East.
Adding excitement to this edition of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 are various outdoor events such as the 2012 UAE Fire Fighting Championship and the UAE Civil Defence Fire Fighting Demonstrations. Audiences will be thrilled by the display of fire fighting and rescue skills from the UAE’s best responders in a challenging 15,000-sq-ft arena.
The 5th International Security and National Resilience Exhibition and Conference is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces. Its prestigious sponsors include Strategic Partner Tawazun Holding, the CNIA, the TRA, Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Rheinmetall Defence. The event is being organized by Reed Exhibitions Middle East; complete details are available at http://www.isnrabudhabi.com.
