As part of its extensive refurbishment project the City Seasons Al Hamra in Abu Dhabi has opened its new Thai restaurant, Keway-mai.
Located in the lobby to attract local residents as well as hotel guests, the 96 seat Keway-mai serves a wide range of Asian fusion dishes and authentic Thai food.
The décor is understated modern Thai with natural stone brick walls, terracotta floor tiles and dark wood paneling. Flower pots featuring colourful Thai orchids are set around the semi-circular design of the restaurant and the lighting is indirect and subdued.
“Keway-mai is a designed to attract the lunchtime crowd as well as those looking for a more relaxed evening meal” said George Demitry general manager City Seasons Al Hamra. “Our resident Thai chef Apichard brings with him recipes that have been handed down through generations of his family so expect to see authentic Thai dishes on the menu”
The menu features perennial favourites including Pad Thai and Tom Yam Goong as well as fiery curries such as Thod Krathium Prik Thai - wok fried meat or seafood topped with garlic and pepper. Desserts include the popular mango and sticky rice with coconut cream and battered fried banana topped with honey and served with vanilla ice cream
“The launch of Keway-mai adds an exciting dining option for our hotel guests and for Abu Dhabi residents and we are confident that it will become a regular venue for diners” said Demitry
Keway-mai is open daily for lunch from 12.30 to 3.30 and from 6 pm to 11.30 for dinner.
The City Seasons Al Hamra Hotel is located on Electra Street, in the heart of the bustling capital, a short distance from the popular Abu Dhabi Mall, business and government districts, 15 minutes away from the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
