Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) is the sponsoring host of the World Aluminium Conference being held in Abu Dhabi from 30 April to 2 May 2012. The conference, organised by the CRU, will see key players in the global industry meeting to discuss the issues that matter at the world-leading event.
EMAL’s President and CEO, Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, said: “EMAL is proud to be the host sponsor of this year’s World Aluminium Conference. The region is now a serious player in the global aluminium market, so the UAE is the place to be. With the world coming to Abu Dhabi it is the perfect opportunity to showcase the advanced facilities we have which enable us to provide a reliable source of quality products to customers around the world.” Al Mazrooei will also be delivering a key note speech to the conference.
This will be the 17th World Aluminium Conference and the first to be held in the region since 2009 when Dubai hosted the event. Among the issues for discussion will be: strategic threats facing producers; the impact on demand of the economic climate and downstream opportunities in the Middle East.
Conference organisers, CRU, will also be holding a number of workshops during the three day event. The subjects that will be covered are: Cast House Mix – maximising value in the cast house; Value in using bauxite; and rolled products, going for value of volume.
