A two-day public workshop in Abu Dhabi will examine data center and cloud computing technologies, which form the backbone of the Internet’s most prevalent applications, including Facebook and Google. Both have become key areas for innovation within the computing and networking domains and have drawn significant interest from researchers and industries. The workshop will be hosted by New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Institute and Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly), in collaboration with Injazat, a leading information technology and business process services provider in the region, from March 18-19 at Injazat Data Systems headquarters.
Enterprise IT in particular stands to be a major beneficiary of advancements in both technologies. A more compact, resilient and affordable data center has the potential to revolutionize enterprise computing; while cloud computing promises to reduce hardware and software requirements for organizations.
The two-day workshop will cover topics ranging from resilient computing and data center networks, to security and cloud applications design. Participants will represent leaders in the IT field, including IBM, Bell Laboratories, Juniper Networks, CloudPhysics, and Huawei Technologies.
“There is still so much ground to cover in the data center and cloud computing domains. For the data center, we need to encourage more dialogue on strategies that can further reduce costs, drive down risk and boost business responsiveness. For the cloud, we need to accelerate the movement towards standardization and address the security aspect more closely. We are excited to host the NYUAD Institute workshop to hear from experts and thought leaders from around the world who are involved in these technologies and who share our experiences and our thoughts on regional adoption,” said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO of Injazat Data Systems.
Injazat Data Systems, a leading Information Technology (IT) and business process managed services provider in the UAE, is a major proponent of enterprise data center and cloud computing services.
