The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has kicked off a campaign to raise awareness of public bus users on the importance of observing the public sanitation of streets and neighborhoods of Abu Dhabi City.
The campaign comes as part of the Public Health Division’s plan to improve the cleanness & the civilized outlook of the city, and build on the sustained endeavors & successes achieved by the Municipality by applying the best standards of hygiene and maintaining the urban profile of the City.
Khalifa Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director of Public Health at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, said that the campaign focused on consolidating the proper communal values, motivating the community members to maintain the city’s modern and clean appearance, and snubbing bad practices undermining the city’s image and giving a negative impression about the community.
"The campaign focused on raising the public awareness and inculcating the values of self-commitment among community members. 8,000 leaflets were distributed to users of public buses while they were purchasing their tickets and on board buses as well. Educational ’&’ awareness tips were also displayed on TV screens hanged in buses terminal," he added.
