Mafraq Hotel in Abu Dhabi are applauded for their hospitality and catering services over the weekend of Fun Drive- the 31st Gulf News Overnighter Fun Drive with 2,400 participants and 700 four-wheel drives.
After an early morning check-in at Mafraq Hotel, Fun Drive participants were greeted with plenty of refreshing beverages, fresh fruit and an extensive buffet breakfast before being provided with tasty lunch boxes. These catering services ensured energy levels remained high and hunger was kept at bay during the challenging safari journey of Liwa’s highest dunes.
After a 300 kilometre course, Fun Drive motorists were congratulated at the camp of Moreeb Dune with food counters to cater for every taste from seasoned meats to fresh vegetables.
A special addition to the evening meal was an enormous 418-kilogram cake baked for Gulf News Fun Drive courtesy of Mafraq Hotel. The 3.2 metre cake was carved in the shape of the Fun Drive campsite and sufficiently fed the thousands of participants.
The hospitality and catering services of Mafraq Hotel undeniably aided the success of this year’s Gulf News Fun Drive, with participants setting off and completing their journey in high spirits and full bellies.
