Manchester City FC will host a free giant screening event in Abu Dhabi tomorrow (SUNDAY) for the FA Cup game with rivals Manchester United.
The Club, who are the FA Cup holders, will show all the action at the Volvo Ocean Race Destination Village with the game kicking-off at 5pm UAE time. The screening is made possible by Club partner and Volvo Ocean Race sponsor – the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).
All those attending can also take on the Manchester City speed kick challenge and enter a competition to win VIP Volvo Ocean Race tours.
Fans already signed up as official Manchester City Sky Blue members will have a special section to enjoy drinks and snacks.
Everyone else can become a Sky Blue member at the event. It gives them access to Sky Blue Fan Zones, discounts on Etihad flights to watch the team in Manchester and many other benefits.
Sky Blue is a free membership program for Club supporters in the UAE, designed to bring fans closer to the Club.
Speaking ahead of the FA Cup game, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini told how important it was for City to win the FA Cup last season.
“When you are a new team it is important to win a trophy. At that moment it shows that if you work hard you can win trophies,” he said.
“For a team like us it is really important to try and win the FA Cup.
“But Manchester United are always very strong after defeat and for this reason it will be a tough game to go and win.”
