The UAE 40th National Day Official Ceremony, entitled is a fitting tribute to the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan as it brings together the cosmopolitan community of the UAE. Embodying his unified spirit, which enables millions of people to coexist and build lives together, this larger than life arena production has more than 112 International specialist aerialists, skaters and acrobats from 25 countries.
Under the artistic guidance of creative directors, whose previous feats include the 53rd Annual Oscars, USA half time Superbowl and the European Music Awards in 2011, traditional Arabic dancers will share the stage with the world’s finest multidisciplinary aerialists and acrobats. In addition hundreds of local volunteers, over 200 traditional dancers and 1200 UAE volunteers from Schools and Universities will be involved in the stadium spectacular at Zayed Sports Stadium Sheikh Zayed Stadium will be open from 2pm and the celebrations, which run from 5pm to 7pm, will end with a spectacular fireworks display.
An arena production of this magnitude requires meticulous planning and week of preparation, 24 stage managers and 69 show crew will ensure the show is nothing less than spectacular.
The 40th National Day Ceremony celebrates those who initiated and influenced the development of the nation; the scenes illustrating the growth and development of this nation. The scenes involve: of the people who planted and nurtured the seeds of change, and those who are looking to a greener future.
Park ’n ride stops will be available at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) and the Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Shuttle buses will then take the public to Gate 18 at Zayed Sports City. For public transportation, drop off points are available at Gates 5 and 6. Taxis will also be available after the ceremony at Gate 4. The Show will also be broadcasted live on National TV stations and viewed on large screens at Corniche Plaza, Abu Dhabi Beaches.
