The National Health Insurance Company- Daman today announced an Emiratization development program in an effort to boost the number of Emiratis in the company and the insurance sector as a whole.
The initiative is one of the significant Emiratization projects to be fronted by the region’s largest health insurance provider.
The program offers UAE nationals in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain a unique combination of academic studies in fundamentals of insurance together with general business skills and professional training at Daman. The company has selected the UAE Academy, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce ’&’ Industry, to run the customized academic course. Participants will have the opportunity to join Daman as permanent employees following the program completion.
Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Daman Chairman, commented: "The agreement represents Daman’s ongoing commitment to Emiratisation - an important initiative we have supported in the past, and will continue to support in the future. The development program is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talent and potential of the Emirati workforce in the field of insurance, and is an endeavor we believe will result in the growth of the current qualified national workforce." Abu Bakr Al Khouri, UAE Academy Chairman, said: " UAE Academy, with its outstanding experience in supporting the Emiratization efforts through training and developing the skills of Emirati new entrants to the job market, was keen on establishing this strategic partnership with Daman. We have designed a comprehensive training program that aims to develop the participants’ general and technical skills." This initiative follows a number of Emirati development programs held over the past years in collaboration with different government and private institutions.
