Volkswagen Ali & Sons has launched the highly celebrated Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, which has received a makeover, transforming the model to encapsulate new innovative features that enhance its status at the top of its class.
Making this its best look yet, the highly acclaimed Volkswagen Tiguan has been transformed to turn heads. The epitome of its class with innovative features, higher-performance and stylistic precision, the new Tiguan was built not only to stand out, but to zoom past the competition.
Consumers in Abu Dhabi will get to choose from the only SUV in its class that comes in three different lines, including the entry level ‘Trend & Fun’, ‘Sport & Style’ for racing aficionados and the ‘Track & Style’ designed for off-roading, which will definitely appeal to residents in the region.
Volkswagen Ali & Sons Brand Manager, Ammar Al Johmani, said that he foresees a spike in demand for the SUV that can truly adapt to all terrains; “This car can go anywhere and be anywhere, and that is why custom features that allow you to choose the car with your preferences - that match your lifestyle, will surpass any previous benchmarks for luxury.”
For family, business or pleasure, the new Tiguan is up for anything, to face all the challenges of daily life and going beyond the call of duty. The world’s first SUV to be fitted with turbo-charged TSI engines, brings more power with reduced fuel consumption. Offering greater versatility and flexibility, the new Tiguan has foldable rear seats that are longitudinally adjustable and the removable luggage compartment floor immediately expands the boot space from 470 litres to 1,510 litres. Spacious and powerful are just two adjectives to describe the SUV, but innovative is also an apt description for the new Tiguan that comes equipped with advanced on-board systems like the DCC adaptive chassis control, Dynamic Light Assist, Fatigue Detection, Park Assist, Park Pilot with visual display, Rear Assist and XDS electronic differential lock. The car is also fitted with the RCD 210, RCD 310, RCD 510 Radio-CD or RNS 510 Radio-navigation system. Other amenities include a MEDIA-IN port for USB or iPod, AUX-IN port, Dynaudio sound system (300 Watt).
“Many of the new features draw upon the latest breakthroughs in safety and comfort that makes driving the new Tiguan effortless, safe and enjoyable,” Johmani added.
This includes the revolutionary Fatigue Detection system that draws upon research that shows 25% of motor accidents are caused by fatigue. The brilliant system detects declining driver concentration and sends out acoustic and visual messages to warn of impending danger by recommending the driver break and rest. If not heeded, the warning will continue to recur every 15 minutes.
Another revelation is the Lane Assist, which gently and autonomously steers the car back when it appears to be heading out from the designated lane. This comes from the revelation that 14% of all motor accidents are caused by dangerous lane swerving. Park Assist, on the other hand, now also supports perpendicular parking at right angles into the driving lane. Activated at speeds up to 40km/hr by the touch of a button, the driver simply indicates where to park, and the system’s 12 ultrasonic sensors - first detect if there is sufficient space, then starts to move into position with the driver only having to reverse gear, accelerate and brake.
The new styling of the front-end differentiates the latest version from its predecessor. Yet, both Tiguan versions have retained the Volkswagen “design DNA” that is marked by a dominance of clear horizontal lines. The grille is upgraded with two double chrome louvres and the distinctive optional bi-xenon headlights with masked main beam give the car a very sharp look. All Tiguan versions have an angle of departure of 25 degrees at the rear, which may be reduced by vehicle payload. The side profile incorporates solid but modestly trimmed wheel housings, a window line that rises towards the rear, distinct door and wing surfaces, and the signature C-pillars. The new series alloy wheels visually stand apart from previous models.
“The Tiguan has built a steady reputation in the region for quality, high performance and luxury all in one. The new transformations have done the seemingly impossible - outdoing perfection, and we know that customers will be pleasantly surprised and appreciate how much Volkswagen has made possible,” concluded Johmani.
