In line with the instructions of HE Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Finance (DoF) - Abu Dhabi, and under the supervision of HE Abdullah Musleh Al-Ahbabi, Acting Undersecretary of DoF, the department has organized its first staff Hajj trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Participants include employees from DoF- Abu Dhabi and the General Directorate of Customs.
The trip will include 52 employees in total from different divisions and will commence today. The organized trip includes a 4-day stay at Al-Madina Al-Munawara and an 8-day stay at the Holy City of Mekkah. The delegation will be returning to the UAE on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
The Hajj trip reflects DoF’s commitment in implementing humanitarian and social events, and its efforts to promote Islamic sentiments of forgiveness and sharing among its employees.
“I would like to wish all the participants in the Hajj delegation a safe trip on behalf of myself and the Department of Finance- Abu Dhabi. DoF has organized this trip for the first time, which was open to all its employees, in its efforts to provide a positive environment for its staff to enhance their performance and promote their sense of belonging to the department,” HE Mohammed Sultan Gnome Al Hamli, Executive Director of DOF said.
DoF recently held a lecture at its headquarters on the principles of Hajj and its significance for Muslims in preparation for the upcoming trip. The lecture focused on the importance of forgiveness and settling disputes among members of the Muslim community.
