Injazat Data Systems, a leading implementer of Emiratisation policies, will demonstrate its successful approach to the professional development of UAE Nationals during a focused panel discussion to be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011, the opening day of the 3rd Annual Emiratisation Forum at the Grand Auditorium of Abu Dhabi University. The UAE’s leading conference on Emiratisation will discuss how organizations can maximize the potential of Emiratis in line with local and national development goals. Injazat is committed to this event and is proud to be its Gold Sponsor for the third consecutive year.
Injazat’s Training Manager Mohanned Hourani will deliver a keynote speech and chair a panel discussion on ‘Creating and Implementing a Holistic Training and Development Framework for Long-Term Emirati Growth’ with representatives from Mubadala, Dubai Holding, the Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) and the Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group. Among the key issues to be discussed are training, skills development, employability, and the individual and organizational dimensions of corporate Emiratisation programs.
“Private sector companies face many challenges in meeting the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision and have difficulty capitalizing on the real potential of local talent. Injazat is proud to say that it has emerged as a preferred private sector employer for Emiratis and has focused on the career development of its National employees. Since its inception, the Emiratisation Forum has served as a venue for us to share our unique strategies for supporting Nationals in assuming high-profile roles within our organization to add real value and contribute to our success,” said Gary Hazel, Head of Training & Development, Injazat Data Systems.
In 2009 – the same year the Emiratisation Forum held its inaugural session – Injazat launched a major Nationalization Program fully developed, implemented and managed by The Injazat Institute (Ti2), the company’s career development initiative. The program’s goal was to develop Injazat as an employer of choice for UAE Nationals, create Career Development Plans (CDPs) for Injazat’s resident Emiratis, enroll them in globally-recognized certification programs, immerse them in operational roles to support their development through on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and establish an industry benchmark for measuring their work performance. These remain ongoing goals that aim to provide Emiratis at Injazat with focused development to support their career aspirations and the needs of the organization in close alignment with the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision.
Today, Injazat has more than 100 Emiratis who currently occupy key managerial, technical and professional positions and account for 18 per cent of the company’s workforce. Injazat continues to support the career growth of its Nationals through individually-tailored programs that hone their job skills, expose them to world-class working environments, and prepare them for career progression.
