The first ‘Abu Dhabi International Wood and Wood Machinery Show,’ the latest edition in the successful ‘WoodShow’ series, opened today (October 18, 2011) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC). The ‘Abu Dhabi WoodShow’ aims to act as a strategic platform for commodities trading wherein specialty buyers and prospective sellers can connect, trade, and create long term business partnerships. The event, which will run until October 20, 2011, will feature the products and services of different exhibitors coming from 5 countries from around the world across 2000 square meters of exhibition space. The ’Abu Dhabi WoodShow’ will also serve as a strategic venue to discuss key issues and develop strategic opportunities in the region’s rapidly developing wood industry.
’Abu Dhabi WoodShow 2011’ is being participated in by leading companies like German Softwood Network GmbH, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, French Timber, Joubert Plywood, Simonin, Jotun Paints , Suba Tech, Interholco, Abalon Hardwood, Luli Group, Jaydeeman Sdn BHd, Al Nibras, Flexicam, Bagpress, Jindal Woods, Binderholz GmbH. “We are very excited to open the UAE capital’s first ever ‘Abu Dhabi WoodShow,’ which is expected to help strengthen the region’s wood and woodworking machinery segment,” said Asmaa Shehadeh, Sales Manager, Abu Dhabi WoodShow. “We are very pleased with the overwhelming response that we have received from previous editions of ‘WoodShow’ that we have hosted and we are confident that we will be able to generate the same response with this first edition in Abu Dhabi, as we have planned a strategic and very comprehensive program that will benefit both exhibitors and visitors during the three-day run of the show.”
‘Abu Dhabi WoodShow 2011’ is positioned to complement the UAE capital’s emergence as a key growth hub for the Middle East, presenting immense potential and opportunities for the wood sector. Exhibitors and visitors at the event are seeking expansion prospects, market shares, bargains, deals and a worthwhile networking experience.
“‘Abu Dhabi WoodShow’ not only sets out to showcase the latest in wood products, wood machinery and related technology but also serves as a prime venue where visitors can learn more about the wood industry and wood’s growing potential as an essential building material across the UAE capital’s major projects,” concluded Shehadeh.
