The registration for Identity Card will be linked with effect from Sunday with procedures of issuing or renewal of residence visa in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The move comes in line with the framework project of linking both procedures with the preventive medicine nationwide by the year end.

The process of linking the registration of identity card to the residence visa will ensure registration of all the residents in the population register and identity card. The registration for the identity card has become mandatory for all the residents nationwide for issuance/renewal of the residence visa.
