Tamouh, the primary master developer of Reem Island, has handed over six buildings at the Marina Square to institutions and investors, who in turn have commenced the phased delivery of the ready-to-use units to end users.

Covering 26.7 hectares, Marina Square features 14 buildings (13 residential and one commercial) and 24 townhouses over a built-up area of more than 827,000 sq. metres. The buildings will add 656 apartments to the Abu Dhabi residential landscape ranging from one- to four-bedroom units.

Joe CT Ong, Managing Director, Tamouh said: “We are working closely with several authorities to streamline the delivery process in the face of the new regulatory framework. This is to ensure that our residents receive a premium end-product. Tamouh’s delivery of the residential towers directly followed its receipt of the building completion certificates from relevant authorities, endorsing the construction’s compliance with Abu Dhabi’s residential standards.”

The business tower at Marina Square is already functional with several businesses operating out of its premises. The development, when complete, will house a boutique mall, medical clinics, pedestrian walk-ways and a five-star hotel around the marina with berths accommodating yachts up to 40 metres in length. Several well-appointed food and beverage outlets, many of which are new to Abu Dhabi, will also be a part of the retail offering at Marina Square.

Samia Bouazza, Marketing Director of Tamouh said: “We are delighted to see the development getting populated with our phased-out delivery of the project. While 12 out of the 24 townhouses are taken up, 13 families are currently residing in one of the buildings and 50 more are expected to move into their new homes shortly. We are also anticipating 20 units in one of the new buildings to be occupied by the end of the month.”

“We had to delay the handover of the units from the originally stipulated timeline in order to receive the necessary approvals. This was our priority as part of our commitment to giving end-users a safe place to live in with the latest security technology and ensure that we are fully construction compliant with the standards set by the local regulators.”

All properties at Marina Square come equipped with a smart-home infrastructure. The technology, once activated, allows residents to control the ambience of the apartment with the use of a touch-pad in the residence or via the internet from a remote location. The towers are enhanced with centrally appointed lobby areas, fully equipped gymnasiums, swimming pools and play grounds, reinforcing Tamouh’s commitment to delivering a community environment for residents.

Located close to the capital’s new central business and financial districts on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island, Marina Square is set to bring to the capital an exciting marina lifestyle, topped with a vibrant culture through its multifarious gourmet restaurants and community focused retail outlets. Upon completion, it will house more than 8,500 people and 6,550 parking bays.
