Sammon Group is marking its commitment to the MENA education sector by taking part as the Gold Sponsor of Building Future Education (BFE) MENA 2011 for the second consecutive year.
BFE MENA, to be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 25th and 26th October 2011, is organised by UBM Middle East in partnership with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and addresses issues of learning spaces, reform, management, operation and funding of education facilities.
A leader in social infrastructure and educational construction projects, Sammon Group’s participation in this year’s BFE MENA follows the resounding success achieved by the group in 2011 when 12 schools and more than 1.5 million square feet of world-class education facilities were handed over.
The group’s gold sponsorship reaffirms the company’s dedication to support the MENA education sector and to work hand in hand with governments and private operators to develop state-of-the-art educational facilities to nurture the leaders of tomorrow.
BFE MENA provides an opportunity to showcase Sammon Group’s impressive track record, including pre-cast, rapid build school solutions and the first schools for Abu Dhabi Education Council in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
According to a Sammon Group spokesperson, the company is keen to share their knowledge and experience to improve the standard of education facilities in the region by meeting education ministries, private operators and school owners who need specialised and cost-effective solutions for future learning spaces.
Speaking on the participation, Sammon Group Founder and CEO Miceál Sammon said, “BFE MENA 2011 will be an important platform for us to showcase the value we have created through 20 years of dedicated service in the education sector by delivering scores of schools that foster talents and inspire leadership. Over the past years we have partnered with governments, private operators, architects and consultants to bring out solutions that are feasible and cost-effective.”
Andrew Pert, Regional Director of UBM Middle East, organisers of the event welcomed Sammon’s continuing support of the region’s premier education exhibition and conference, “Sammon Group’s track record and experience in building world-class education facilities speak well of the calibre of participating companies in the event. We are pleased to have their support for the second year running and are looking forward to their inputs to the event’s seminar programmes.”
Sammon Group Founder and CEO Micael Sammon will deliver a key presentation on Architecture and Design to Create World Class Facilities; while John Dennehy, Non-Executive Director, Sammon Group, will be joining the panel on education reform.
The free-to-attend BFE MENA event acts as a prestigious platform for educators, architects, designers and urbanists in Middle East and North Africa offering them opportunities to discuss and endorse programmes covering crèches, nurseries and kindergartens, schools, colleges, universities, research, training centres and special needs.
