In line with its aims to support Emiratis who are looking to build their careers in the healthcare sector, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), has announced recruiting 627 UAE Nationals at different departments within its healthcare facilities.

Being interviewed earlier by SEHA’s in corporation with Tawteen Council, the newly appointed employees will commence their duties on Sunday 2nd October 2011. This initiative is in line with the directives of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, to open 6,000 UAE governmental vacancies.

“Recruiting UAE nationals within the healthcare sector is an initiative that we fully encourage and support,” said Mohamed Hamad Al Hameli, Chief Support Services at SEHA. “Our focus is to help local citizens develop their skills and enhance their knowledge in order to play a key role in advancing the sector as a whole. This initiative emphasizes the role played by the Government entities to harness the Emirati human resources in Abu Dhabi and comes in light of the outcomes of the ‘Tawteen’ workshop held in March under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Vice-Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.”

In line with its commitment to develop the national competencies and support Emiratisation, SEHA launched ‘Intelaqa’ program which was specifically designed to train all candidates and prepare them for the jobs that were nominated for them. The program will be implemented in two phases; the first phase will last for two months and incorporates employees training for competencies skills in addition to intensive training to acquire technical skills to use the ‘Cerner’ program, which is applied through out all SEHA’s facilities. The second phase will be within a span of, among which two months are intensive training. The employee then will be evaluated as per his performance on the jobs’ functions.

The company has also developed a unified plan to attract, develop and retain UAE nationals in all departments and facilities, and is taking a distinct approach to sustainable development of the workforce in the UAE’s healthcare sector.
