Following the success of the first season of Open Drag Nights held at the Yas Drag Racing Centre over the winter of 2010/11, Yas Marina Circuit will be again hosting a series of drag racing evenings that will allow people to come and race their own cars on the drag strip. Tonight sees the opening round of the 2011/12 series, with racing commencing at 8pm.
The event is open to all cars and bikes that meet the NHRA safety guidelines, at a cost of 300 AED. Spectators can buy tickets at 30 AED each, at the Yas Drag Racing Centre or by calling 800 YAS (927). Gates open for spectators at 8pm and racing will continue until midnight.
