The ninth edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) commences on Wednesday 14th September, kicking off the new events season at ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) with the venue preparing to host a range of existing and new exhibitions, conferences and other events over the coming months.
More than 30 events addressing business, culture, recreation, education and the medical community are to be staged during the fourth quarter, drawing thousands of local and international exhibitors and visitors.
Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Dhahiri, ADNEC’s Managing Director, said: "ADNEC is well prepared as the events season gets off to a strong start in Abu Dhabi. The upcoming period will witness an extensive list of important and interesting events geared towards a number of sectors. Organising these prestigious international events in Abu Dhabi reflects the advanced status of the city as leading global hub for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions industry (MICE)." Commenting on ADIHEX, which is one-of-a-kind event in the region, Al Dhaheri noted that since inception the event had gained international recognition and provided an excellent opportunity for lovers of heritage, falconry, horse and camel riding.
ADIHEX was first launched in 2002 and is considered as one of the most important heritage and tourism events in the region. It has gained international reputation as it provides an insight into UAE’s values and traditions. The exhibition is organised by the Emirates Falconers’ Club and supported by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
Besides ADIHEX, other events ADNEC will host in the coming months include International Jewellery and Watch Show Abu Dhabi (JWS), Woodshow, World Green Tourism, HomeStyle, SIAL Middle East, Airport Exchange, Middle East Manufacturing Exhibition and World Healthcare Congress Middle East. An electrifying ’one-night only’ performance of ABBA hits by the world famous band, Bjorn Again, is also planned.
