Abu Dhabi Golf Club is staging a fundraising Night Golf Tournament for the victims of drought and starvation in Somalia.
Scheduled for Saturday, September 10th 2011, a shotgun start at 19.00 will get the team power play format underway. Twenty per cent of the money raised through the entry fee of AED 275 per guest and AED 99 per member will be donated to the fund. In addition money will be raised through a raffle with prizes donated by the club.
“The Abu Dhabi emirate is making a concerted effort to help the victims of this appalling drought in Somalia and we are delighted to lend our support to these endeavours, which we hope will elicit a positive response from our members and their guests,” says Scott McCaw, Director of Operations at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. “The money we raise will be given to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, who will incorporate it into a larger fund raising effort of residents in the capital.’
