Known as a pioneer in the hospitality and catering business in Abu Dhabi since 1993, today Al Fahim Group announces the establishment of a new food catering business member, Emirates Dalma Food Catering, located in Al Fahim Group’s Headquarters in Mussafah.

Currently accommodating over 1,200 consumers per day, Emirates Dalma Catering started with a humble kitchen at the presently named Dalma Plaza building, formerly known as the Golden Tulip Dalma Plaza on Hamdan Street. “In 2009, the new food catering company further expanded into the offices of Al Fahim Group serving lunch to another 300 employees for the offices at the AFG Staff Restaurant,” recalled Mr. Amer Chami, Director of Catering at the Al Fahim Group and Founder of Emirates Dalma Catering.

At the middle of 2009 Emirates Dalma started to cater to employees residing in the staff accommodation, providing three meals per day to approximately 400 individuals emphasizing a 75% increase in customers in 2010 compared to 2009. Moreover, the catering team set up an outdoor food delivery service to serve organizations as well as groups of individuals. This rapid increase in customers encouraged Al Fahim Group management to further support the unit and proved to the business that there is a large demand for this market.

“We started with only 20 employees in the end of 2008; thankfully, we have reached 60 skilled professionals serving Al Fahim Group staff, and delivering food packages and doing outside catering services to external customers such as, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Dolphin Energy, Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Fairmont Staff Cafeteria providing three meals per day for almost 500 individuals,” he continued. Mr. Amer and his team with the support of top management, opened a new kitchen of almost 800 square meters equipped with the most advanced tools and in accordance to international hygiene standards.
