Emirates Motor Company Announces 8% Growth In 2011
(10 August 2011)

Owing to a range of new luxurious models, subsidized warranty contracts, service packages and partnerships with various prominent organizations in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Motor Company (EMC), Mercedes-Benz General Distributors in Abu Dhabi & Al Ain and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, announces an 8% increase in overall sales in the first half of 2011 compared to the same period last year.

Without a doubt, sales of the stunning Mercedes-Benz E Class soared, bringing in a 13% increase for the second quarter compared to the first quarter of the year. Moreover, due to several popular new models being launched and Emirates Motor Company’s diligence in partnering with local banks, introducing warranty contracts and entering new business ventures, EMC continues to maintain its leading position in delivering superior services.

General Manager of EMC, Mr. Kamal Rafih, said, “Over the first six months of 2011, EMC’s sports utility vehicle (SUV) sales have noticeable rose reaching an increase of 71% from the first quarter to the second quarter.”

Looking at the popular SUV models this year, Abu Dhabi residents are passionate over the new ML Grand Edition, R Class and, of course, the sturdy G and GL Classes. Mercedes-Benz vehicles are in a class of their own, especially with the launch of the dazzling new CLS, or the recently launched sporty SLK, the face-lifted C Class and breathtaking C Coupe 2012.

“We also owe our success to our customer-focused business strategy which emphasizes the significance of partnering with various organizations as a means of strengthening business relationships, as well as engaging ourselves with the community by offering solutions that fit customers’ needs and lifestyles.

“Besides the successful agreements we’ve established with Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, the Abu Dhabi Country Club and Hilton Abu Dhabi, we have also started a Ramadan campaign with Al Hilal Bank as well as Europcar,” he continued.

During the month of Ramadan, EMC has extended their reduced profit rate offer for Mercedes-Benz shoppers; now, the profit rate is at 2.75% including first installment to be paid in 2012, applicable on all Mercedes-Benz models. Other benefits provided by EMC is the 5-Year Extended Warranty (2-year Manufacturer and 3-year EMC extended warranty) as well as the Integrated Service Package Plus (ISP+) on Mercedes-Benz S and GL classes.

On the other hand, EMC has mutually agreed with Europcar on another offer for individuals wishing to rent a car instead. The offer encompasses the Mercedes-Benz C 200 Classic 2012 and C 200 Avant-garde AMG 2012. For a lease of two years or 60,000 kilometers (KM), the Classic is at a monthly installment of AED 4,499 while the Avant-garde AMG is at AED 4,999, per month. This also includes free replacement when due for service or repair. The offer ends on 31 October 2011.

EMC’s success in the beginning half of 2011 provides a promising outlook for the rest of the year and demonstrates the constructive effect of customer-oriented, long-term strategies on a business.
