The holy month of Ramadan - observed the world over by Muslims as a time to introspect and remember Allah is here, and to make it even more special, du has introduced exclusive Ramadan content for its customers. Comprising of exclusive mobile content and TV channels, du customers can now receive the carefully compiled combination of religious inspiration and essential information throughout the month, to enhance their Ramadan experience.
A world of exclusive mobile Content
The opt-in weekly mobile content package has been specifically designed to deliver the things that count this month. As part of Ramadan special content, essentials like daily prayer times and an Azan service announcing every Iftar are included, as well as twice-weekly messages from renowned Islamic scholar and member of the Dubai International Award for the Holy Qur’an - Dr. Omar Abdelkafy. In addition to these, three Duaa are included in the weekly Bouquet, to offer spiritual enlightenment and a deeper insight into the true meaning of Ramadan. To ensure that Iftar and Suhoor meals are as nutritious as they are delicious, the Ramadan special content also includes recipes from Chef Osama, which will be available twice a week.
All SMS messages will be available in both Arabic and English – and a weekly subscription to the Ramadan Bouquet costs only AED5. To activate this service, simply SMS “RE” (for English) or “RA” (for Arabic) to 2340.
In order to capture the true heart of Ramadan and to further promote a more spiritual experience for customers throughout the month, du is also offering subscriptions to deliver Holy Qur’an recitations by four beloved Sheikhs straight to customers’ mobile, thrice a week. This content will be free of charge to all du customers.
To assist in developing a deeper understanding of the Holy Qur’an this Ramadan, customers can call the Tafseer Qur’an Interactive Voice Response service, while a selection of Ramadan caller tunes featuring Duaa, Nasheed and Monaja are also available to share the spirit of the Holy Month with all. In order to access both of these services, customers need only dial 156 and choose from the menu options.
Further content tailored specifically for the Holy Month of Ramadan will be available through du’s web and WAP portals, including Islamic tools and downloadable entertainment, with a dedicated Ramadan folder being made available through du’s Video on Demand service.
