In accordance with the Centre of Waste Management’s (CWM) tender 117A for Abu Dhabi, the leading integrated waste and resource management company, averda, recently launched its city cleaning and waste management services on 1st July 2011 for major public areas within Abu Dhabi – after being granted a five-year contract to help the capital of United Arab Emirates reach its goal of being one of the top five cleanest cities in the world.
The notable honour, which came after a fiercely competitive bid with a number of well-renowned international and local waste management companies, will cover all Abu Dhabi public areas including streets, roadways, parks, markets, bus stops, parking lots, public restrooms, prestigious properties, and beaches that are located in Al Ras Al Akhdar, Al Khubaira, Al Hosn, Al Bateen, Al Zaab, Al Rawda, Al Karama, Al Musallah, Al Mushrif, Al Qubaisat, Qasr Al Chatie, Al Muzoon, Al Sfarat, Al Madina Al Riyadiya, Al Maqtaa.
averda’s scope of operations in Abu Dhabi includes collection services for all types of solid waste and bulky waste. Other tender deliverables involve cleaning, street sweeping services, washing, vacuuming, and disinfecting, as well as the upkeep of public beaches and related areas, whilst providing a 24-hour customer service. These services are in addition to the environmental solutions that averda provides to the Yas Island developments including Yas Links Golf Course, the Yas Marina Circuit, as well as Al Gurm Resort, Al Raha Beach, and Al Raha Garden, and more.
