Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), this week celebrates five years of operations to Kuwait.
Etihad began flying between Abu Dhabi and Kuwait City on 1 July 2006 with six flights a week. Currently it flies triple daily. The increase in frequency reflects the importance and rapid development of the Kuwait market.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer said: “Kuwait is a key market for Etihad and has always been an important strategic destination for the airline. Kuwait is very popular for both intra-regional and global business travellers. We anticipate continued strong demand for our Kuwait services from within the GCC, as well as from guests leveraging the convenient connections to and from the Far East, Europe and America.”
Etihad’s 21 services per week offer seamless connections for our long haul and ultra long haul destinations such as Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, London, Geneva, Milan, and Munich. Our premium guests will enjoy the luxurious Abu Dhabi lounge, premium check in, limousine and fast track upon arrival to Abu Dhabi.
The premium lounges located at Etihad Terminal 3, Abu Dhabi International Airport perfectly reflect the Etihad brand – modern comforts with sophisticated elegance, which will enhance our customers’ travel experience flying out of Abu Dhabi.
