The loveable Smurfs, the small blue fictional creatures created by Belgian cartoonist, Pierre ‘Peyo’ Culliford, today officially opened Summer in Abu Dhabi - a month-long, family-friendly festival of acts, shows and premium edutainment concepts running at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Summer in Abu Dhabi, an emirate-wide activation that sees a host of special, value-driven ticket, hotel and attraction deals dovetail the festival’s core ADNEC activities, opens to the public tomorrow (Thursday 30 June) and runs until July 30.
“With an expanded four hall presence at ADNEC, the fourth edition of Summer in Abu Dhabi is our biggest showing yet and illustrates how the festival continues to go from strength-to-strength,” said Faisal Al Sheikh, Events Manager, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), the Summer in Abu Dhabi organisers.
“We have worked tirelessly with many of Abu Dhabi’s leading tourism stakeholders – from hotels and attractions, to tour operators and restaurants – to ensure there is something for everyone in our line-up. The fun may start at ADNEC, but it spreads across Abu Dhabi.”.
ADNEC entry rates are AED20 for children aged up to 12 years old – toddlers up to two years old go free - and AED40 for adults. More details, including the full list of activities and show timings, are available from www.summerinabudhabi.ae
