H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister today morning called on Indian Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari in the Indian capital New Delhi.
He also met with the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon.
During these meetings Sheikh Abdullah discussed a number of issues of common interest especially ways to enhance trade and economic exchanges between UAE and India.
UAE Foreign minister later in the evening will also hold meeting with his Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna and will discuss bilateral relations besides several agreements will be signed between the two sides.
India enjoys close and multi-faceted relations with the UAE, which is one of India’s largest trade partners.
During 2009-10, the bilateral trade touched USD 43 billion. Indians comprise the largest single expatriate community in UAE, says a statement issued by Indian Foreign Ministry.
