Abu Dhabi University (ADU) is taking the lead in nurturing creative capabilities of its staff, faculty and students by recognizing and honoring their most innovative ideas at the second annual ADU Chancellor’s Innovation Awards, which takes place on 27th June, at the campus in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi.
Designed to further enhance the creative spirit and effectiveness within ADU, this year’s awards are based on five project themes seen as highly important to the growth of the university.
Chancellor, Dr Nabil Ibrahim said: “The students, faculty and staff have a stake in the governance of this institution, which is why it is important to acknowledge their views on how Abu Dhabi University can continue to achieve higher standards of excellence. The Innovation Awards are an excellent platform for them not only to offer valuable insight but also to make a real contribution to change.”
The innovative ideas will cover the areas of student recruitment and enrolment; customer services and public relations; fundraising efforts and external support for on-campus activities; communication strategies and employee satisfaction at ADU; and lastly, strategic and cost-effective retention of students.
Three to five member teams consist of students, staff and faculty working together. Each team has selected a single category to enter and will provide details of the scope project, methodology, timelines of implementation and the expected results and analysis of the main findings. The final requirement is an overview of the entry’s anticipated impact on the ADU community.
Winners will receive monetary rewards that will allow them to actualize their innovations and hard work.
