The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Abu Dhabi has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with INSEAD, the leading international business school, to enhance collaboration on capacity development and policy oriented research.
The agreement was signed today at DED’s headquarters by Mohammad Omar Abdulla, Undersecretary of DED and the Dean of INSEAD, Professor Dipak C. Jain.
According to Mohammad Omar Abdulla: "The DED has a key role in achieving Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 with a focus on diversifying the economy. This strategic cooperation with INSEAD will ensure that the policies and plans it develops to realise the Emirate’s goals are supported by leading-edge research and expertise".
Dean Dipak C. Jain added: "We look forward to an ongoing collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development to assist the Emirate achieve its economic vision for the future. INSEAD’s faculty will play a critical role in helping Abu Dhabi shape its long-term policy initiatives by providing world-renowned research and global business insights".
Under the agreement, INSEAD will cooperate with the Abu Dhabi Center for Economic Knowledge part of DED, providing support through its faculty members located across the school’s three campuses in the Middle East (Abu Dhabi), Asia (Singapore) and Europe (France).
