Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort (AWPR) announces today some of its exciting programmes for the summer including educational activities, fun and games for the whole family, and great value offers as part of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s (ADTA) ‘Summer in Abu Dhabi’ promotion.
The Education Centre at the zoo will be keeping children entertained and informed about nature and conservation with two action-packed tours. The Amazing Animals programme includes activities based on the wide range of fascinating animals on display, followed by a walking tour of the zoo for children aged 6 to 10. This programme runs Sundays to Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm until June 30.
Older children are invited to enjoy the Evening Safari programme which includes activities about animals from deserts across the globe and a walking tour of the zoo and is held from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Sundays to Thursdays until June 30 for children aged 9 to 14.
Commenting on these new activities, Muna Al Dhahiri, Education Manager from AWPR said:
“As summer approaches and school comes to an end, we want children to keep learning about wildlife and conservation in a unique and interactive way. The Amazing Animals and Evening Safari programmes at the zoo will keep children entertained and I hope will inspire them to think more about nature each and every day.”
All these exciting activities are included in the general entry ticket price of AED 5 for children and AED 15 for adults, with no additional charges. Simply meet at the Education Centre inside the zoo half an hour before the sessions begin.
Additionally, as part of ADTA’s “Summer in Abu Dhabi” promotion, the zoo will be offering a “Buy 1 ticket Get 1 FREE” deal. For every one adult or child entry ticket bought at the front gate of the zoo, visitors get another ticket for free, ensuring families get even more value from a fun-filled trip to Al Ain. This offer will be valid from June 15 to July 31, 2011. The zoo is open daily from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
