Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a top-tier Islamic financial services group, announced today that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UAE Red Crescent Authority to support the Red Crescent scholarship program. This program aims to support students with their tuition fees. Under the terms of the agreement, ADIB will provide financial donations to Red Crescent worth AED 100 for each active ‘ADIB Banoon Account.’
The agreement was signed by Dhafer Farooq Luqman, EVP at ADIB, and HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Deputy Secretary General for Local Affairs, Red Crescent Authority in the presence of officials from both parties.
Through this initiative, ADIB confirms its commitment to establish a strong partnership with the Red Crescent Authority, and play a prominent role in promoting values and goals with a humanitarian dimension to meet the needs of the community.
HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi praised the level of cooperation between the Authority and ADIB. He explained that the project will provide support to students from families that are unable to afford tuition fees for their children, and students who are in need of rehabilitation through training programs available in specialized centers.
ADIB regularly contributes to a number of community initiatives including organizing group weddings of UAE nationals, sponsoring Red Crescent campaigns during Ramadan and sponsorship of career fairs and social events.
