Dr Mugheer added that the Program started with 60 students (both boys and girls), accompanied by six supervisors. Due to the success of this experience since the beginning, added to the high competition spirit unleashed among the students to join the Program, this opportunity was extended to include a larger number of participants to reach 600 students who will be accompanied by 60 supervisors from both genders. He noted that this Program proved successful over the past five years according to the feedback of the participants who showed excellent response to all its events and activities, in addition to the supervisors’ reports and the reactions of the hosting educational establishments and families. The selection process also provides equal opportunities for students of the three educational zones of the Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.

For his part, Ahmad Sultan Al Shamsi, Director of Public Services Division in ADEC, the Overseas Summer Program Manager confirmed that the students’ departures are scheduled between the 30th of June and the 3rd of July 2011, the return trips will be on July 30, 2011.
