As the world meets at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre for the region’s leading aluminium exhibition, Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) - as exhibitor and Diamond Sponsor - will showcase itself as the UAE’s flagship industrial project. In just three years EMAL has developed into one of the world’s largest single site smelters. Reaching full production ahead of schedule on the last day of 2010, EMAL is now on track to produce 750,000 tonnes of quality, reliable aluminium this year.
Following the official Grand Opening of the Taweelah based smelter in April, Aluminium Dubai 2011 provides an opportunity for EMAL to showcase both its products and operations to global customers, as a key project in realising Abu Dhabi’s 2030 Vision.
Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, EMAL’s President and CEO, said: “EMAL is one of the largest industrial projects in the UAE outside oil and gas, and is leading the diversification of the UAE’s economy. We are contributing to the creation of the Middle East as a new hub for aluminium production in the world, and this exhibition provides an ideal platform for us to connect with customers, suppliers and business partners from across the globe.”
At the event, EMAL will present a 2D film on how the technologically advanced smelter functions, providing visitors a sense of exactly how it operates. Interactive touch-tables will also be available to explore every aspect of operations.
Al Mazrooei added: “EMAL is here to showcase its products. We are proud of the giant steps we have taken to reach full production and want to inform both the industry and the public about EMAL. This event is an important part of EMAL’s business development as we look to adding further value to the UAE.”
Taking place from 9-11 May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Aluminium Dubai brings together the world’s leading players.
