The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is participating distinctively in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2011) which is being organized at Reliant Center in Houston, Texas, USA, 2nd to 5th May 2011.
Held under the theme "Making Safe ", this year’s edition of OTC is expected to attract around 65,000 attendees and 2,500 exhibiting companies representing more than 110 countries.
A high-level delegation of ADNOC and its Group of Companies including CEOs and senior executives is attending the four-day event.
Delegates from ADNOC and its Group of Companies will make presentations at the OTC conference, mainly tackling issues related to offshore operations. Among the presentations is a paper titled “ADNOC Major Offshore Development: Opportunities and Challenges” to be presented by Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Manager of Offshore Division, ADNOC.
The Group is also exhibiting in the OTC show in a large stand that reflects the size of the Group and depicts the overall development witnessed by the UAE.
ADNOC is also this year’s “Visionary Leadership Award” honoree. The award will be received by the delegation on behalf of HE Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC Deputy CEO. Honorees are selected for their commitment to enhancing business ties between the United States and the Arab world.
A reception and dinner was hosted yesterday on the sidelines of the OTC by the US-UAE Business Council in honor of the UAE delegation. Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, CEO of Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) delivered keynote remarks on behalf of the UAE delegation.
Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection.
This edition of the OTC offers the participants the opportunity to see the next generation of technology and innovation in the Oil & Gas industry and to hear and learn from the experiences of other companies within the industry.
