First Gulf Bank (FGB) launched a new project for Emirati Youth in collaboration with Tawteen, the major strategic initiative of the Emirates Foundation, at the Employment Expo which was held recently at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi.
This project, which is the first of its kind in the UAE aims to offer young Emirati youth opportunities to develop new marketing skills in the banking sector through different training programs. It will also educate them on how products are delivered to the market and offers them an opportunity for them to earn an extra income which will in turn support the development of the UAE economy.
Huda Abdulla, Executive Vice President - Branch Distribution, First Gulf Bank, says: “At FGB, we strive to set standards of excellence, explore new opportunities and pursue innovation, and this project specifically targeted at Emiratis is an opportunity we cannot miss. We are thrilled to work with such an active and ambitious entity to have a dynamic role in recruiting the new generation of our beloved country”.
She added, “FGB wants to support the local culture, which is proven by the success of our Emirati Al Awwal scheme, a product exclusively designed for Emiratis for the first time ever in the country which encourages them to save and reward them through regular draws. Through our partnership with Tawteen, we will offer young Emiratis’ an opportunity to build work-life essentials and prepare them for a rewarding career, while pursuing their studies. This will enrich their lives and in turn support the development of the economy.”
Mohamed Al Neaimi, Tawteen Programme Director, adds: “Through this partnership with First Gulf Bank, we are pleased to be working with such a strong and committed team and we will continue to grow our own team with the ultimate goal of empowering and motivating Emirati Youth, as well as delivering the Tawteen programme by nationals, for nationals”.
Through this program participants will learn about the Banking sector and FGB offerings. This programme will also help train and develop skills in personal leadership, practical skills and professional conduct which are important qualities for future leadership. Every participant will be mentored by a dedicated Emirati Manager for the entire duration of the programme.
